About the Coffee
This is one of the coffees we offer thanks to our direct and long-term coffee project in collaboration with farmers in Nicaragua. Brothers Norlan and Uriel are the fourth generation of coffee farmers in the Chavarría family. In addition to managing the El Progreso farm (10.5 hectares), they also work on the Linda Vista farm (1.5 hectares). Their approach to coffee cultivation shows respect for tradition and a strong desire to learn new methods, which helps them improve and produce high-quality coffee. They were among the first in their region to focus on growing and processing specialty coffee, and they are not afraid to experiment! Once again, they were among the first to try different processing methods beyond the typical washed process used in Nicaragua. All innovations and new methods are tested first on a small scale at the Linda Vista farm. Those that prove successful are then applied on a larger scale at the El Progreso farm. We are pleased that, with our support (both technical and informational) and long-term collaboration as part of our international project, improvements in coffee quality are visible with each harvest.
