About the Coffee:
This particular coffee is part of our offering thanks to our joint coffee project, a long-term collaboration with coffee farmers in Nicaragua. Brothers Norlan and Uriel are the fourth generation of coffee farmers in the Chavarría family. In addition to their El Progreso farm (10.5 ha), they also manage the Linda Vista farm (1.5 ha). Their approach to coffee cultivation reflects a respect for tradition and a strong desire to learn new techniques to improve and produce high-quality coffee. They were among the first in their region to focus on the cultivation and processing of specialty coffee. They are not afraid to experiment, being pioneers in trying different processing methods beyond the typical washing process in Nicaragua. They test all innovations and new procedures on a small scale first, on the Linda Vista farm. If successful, these methods are then applied on a larger scale at the El Progreso farm. Through our support (both technical and informational) and long-term collaboration within our foreign project, we see improvement in coffee quality with each harvest.
