Michael Praslička, roaster

Hello, my name is Michal, and I transitioned from my original profession as a dispatcher to the position of a roaster at mamacoffee in 2009, shortly after the company opened its own roastery. Besides roasting, which I truly enjoy, I dedicate my time to my family, my band, and I have a passion for experimental and original music, archaeology, and reading a lot.

 

What does mamacoffee mean to you?

 

At the beginning, it was an opportunity for me to learn something new (I'm a curious type). Even now, I can still develop, improve my skills, and art. I enjoy traveling and experiencing cultures in different parts of the world. Last but not least, I also appreciate having great colleagues at mamacoffee, and that is priceless.

 

What's your favorite coffee?

 

I drink everything because I have to (laughs). But honestly, I always go through phases. Currently, I'm focusing more on preparing espresso at home, but of course, I prepare coffee in all possible ways to have an overview of how each coffee works and if it's okay.
