About the Coffee

This is one of the coffees we offer thanks to our direct and long-term collaboration with coffee farmers in Nicaragua. Brothers Norlan and Uriel are the fourth generation of coffee farmers in the Chavarría family. In addition to the El Progreso farm (10.5 ha), they also manage the Linda Vista farm (1.5 ha). Their approach to coffee cultivation shows respect for tradition, combined with a strong desire to learn new methods and continuously improve, producing high-quality coffee. In their region, they were among the first to focus on cultivating and processing specialty coffee. They are also unafraid of experimentation! Again, they were among the first to try processing methods other than the typical washed process used in Nicaragua. They test all innovations and new methods on a small scale at the Linda Vista farm, and what proves successful is applied on a larger scale at the El Progreso farm. We are proud that, thanks to our support (technical and informational) and long-term collaboration as part of an international project, each harvest shows visible improvements in coffee quality.
