At mamacoffee, we strive every day to connect the quality of our coffee products with the positive social and economic impact on the farming communities with whom we have long-term partnerships. Falcon, from whom we had the opportunity to purchase our new Rwanda Gatare coffee, shares a similar approach to sustainability. A specific example of their work is their coffee project in Rwanda called Rwanda Trading Company (RTC).
Education and Support for Farmers
Our collaboration and support do not end with "just" fair trade. Like RTC, which provides educational programs to improve the quality and yield of coffee for farmers, we at mamacoffee also support education and specific projects that help local communities develop their agricultural skills and improve conditions on farms.
Direct Impact on Communities
When we take a closer look at RTC's work in Rwanda in this particular case, we can see how positively their project has impacted the lives of farmers and their families. For example, the Gishyita washing station managed by RTC has seen a significant increase in coffee production, demonstrating how effective the combination of proper management and educational support for farmers can be.
Our Rwanda Gatare coffee is an ideal choice for fans of filtered coffee - its delicate and balanced flavor of sour raspberries and limes, along with fragrant gingerbread, truly stands out especially when prepared with methods like V60 or Aeropress.
